I remember, the first words of one of my clients to me was:
“Everyone around me loves me very much, but for some reason, I can’t enjoy life. Everything feels pointless and hopeless, and I always see myself being used.”
It was surprising that such a smiling and good person would say these things while eating the beautiful cookies she made with her hands and brought to our first session.
All the teachings and social studies had always taught her how good it was to give and that would make her happy.
But the one thing she wasn’t taught was to receive.
However, the entire universe, the Earth, and even the breath we take had a balance of inhalation and exhalation.
My client couldn’t get what she deserved and even, she couldn’t ask for it.
Even on her birthdays, the gifts given to her inwardly embarrassed her rather than made her happy.
While everyone knew her as a proud resourceful woman who didn’t need anyone, what happened was that she couldn’t ask for any help, right, or anything she wanted.
She was emotionally starving and struggling financially to be good enough.
I shared with her the secrets of what giving means, how it is balancing and enriching.
Needless to say, she is now experiencing the happiness of getting her value and right in her new life that she redesigned.
I thank her for being vulnerable and courageous.
